Branding and graphics

A brand is a system, not one logo file.

I build a visual language that behaves just as confidently on a website, in an app, on social media and in print — from the mark to finished materials.

Why a system

You learn what a logo is worth by how it looks in the worst conditions.

On a dark background, in the corner of a leaflet, inside a square avatar and on a trade fair banner. That is why I design rules, not a single file.

  1. 01The markLegible at small sizes, working the same on light and dark, in both the full and the shortened version.
  2. 02Colour and typeA palette and typeface that hold together in print and on screen — with clear rules for when to use what.
  3. 03Key visualA repeatable motif that makes the brand recognisable before anyone reads the name.
  4. 04MaterialsLeaflets, passes, social media artwork — the concrete things a brand uses every day.

Scope

From the mark to print-ready files.

I design and prepare the files — without handing the work to a third subcontractor.

Logo design

A mark with variants and usage rules, not a single PNG.

Visual identity

Colour, typography, iconography and the way they all fit together.

Key visual

A lead motif for campaigns, events and seasonal materials.

Materials and DTP

Layout, print preparation and production files for the printer.

Social media

Post artwork and templates you can work with without a designer for every post.

How I work

Four stages — from research to production files.

Branding starts with questions about the brand, not with opening a design tool.

  1. 01

    Research

What the brand is, who it speaks to and how it differs from what sits next to it.

  2. 02

    Direction

Visual directions shown on real applications, not on a blank white board.

  3. 03

    System

Mark, colour, typography and the rules that tie it into one whole.

  4. 04

    Materials and rollout

Concrete pieces, production files and a complete handover.

Scale of engagement

Alvernia Planet — one brand, a dozen carriers

Information and folded leaflets, coupons in two editions, VIP and influencer passes, social media artwork. Holding consistency across that many different pieces is harder than designing any one of them.

Tell me about the brand you want to build.

A new brand or a refresh of an existing one — let's start with what it should say about itself.
